A New Beginning for Alness Parish Church: Welcoming the Melville-Knox Christian Centre
On Saturday, 27th September, our community gathered to mark a significant moment in the history of Alness: the final service of worship at Alness Parish Church (Church of Scotland). At 2 p.m., the congregation came together to honor the church’s legacy of ministry and fellowship, reflecting on the many lives that have been touched within these walls. As we look back on that poignant day, we are filled with gratitude for all the church has meant to the town of Alness and the wider community. But as one chapter closes, another is beginning—one that promises to continue the building’s legacy of service, connection, and support. We are thrilled to announce that the Melville-Knox Christian Centre is now the proud owner of this historic building, and we have exciting plans to transform it into a vibrant community centre for all.
